Arcus Junior presents: blitz interview with Lyubov Mironova
We are completing our series of interviews with someone that is extremely important to our mission – Lyubov Mironova. She took on the role of advisor and actively participated in the formation of both the Arcus Junior team and in working with the children and parents during their selection. The first impression she creates is a sense of being different from the norms, but also a great responsibility toward every aspect of her work. She says it is important to do everything we take on not only efficiently and precisely, but also aesthetically designed. She speaks with equal passion about her calling - teaching - and about the travels she loves so much. Lyubov radiates a unique charm, and her extensive knowledge immediately earns profound respect from those she interacts with. Now a little about her professional path so far.
Lyubov graduated from the National High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and has two parallel careers. In the first, she graduated with a degree in "Accounting and Control" from University of National and World Economy and acquired 15 years of experience as an accountant, financial controller, and manager of Western representations. She then established herself as a business trainer with even more years of experience, training managers on how to lead people and manage resources. Her second career is in the field of education, as she graduated in "Preschool Pedagogy" and "Primary Pedagogy" from Sofia University and holds a teaching qualification in economics. She also completed a three-year course in Waldorf pedagogy in Sofia.
Lyubov is the author of hundreds of articles and books on pedagogy, as well as 108 children's tales from the "Bonboncho" series. She currently runs a parenting school, where hundreds of Bulgarian families from around the world learn how to raise and develop their children over the course of a year. She was chosen as a Community Leader of the Slatina District in the capital.
Here’s how she answered the questions we asked her:
1. What is your motivation to engage in pedagogy?
I have a very clear memory that this is my mission in this life. I believe that pedagogy is a way to invest in the future. In my childhood, I was part of an educational environment filled with pedagogical innovations and inspiration, thanks to Lyudmila Zhivkova and the "Banner of Peace" assembly. I witnessed a pedagogical rise that included experimental methods like suggestopedia and the Sendov system. I’m simply passing this torch of "Unity. Creativity. Beauty." to the next generation.
2. Which do you think carries more weight - parent education or child education?
Which carries more weight: the face or the back of the coin? Both are indistinguishably linked and important for successful upbringing and education. Educating parents creates role models and an environment while educating children develops their skills, knowledge and values.
3. What do you do in your free time?
I love to travel, take photos, read books, and invent useful things.
4. Challenges?
My biggest challenge is doing morning exercises. There is always something else that seems more important or urgent. It really takes willpower to dedicate those 5 minutes. Another challenge is to open an Enlightened kindergarten and then a school.
5. What is your vision for the education of the future?
My vision for the education of the future is for it to be compassionate, warm, and kind, following the natural development of the child. We should not try to "pull the grass to make it grow" because we might just end up breaking it.
